Western North Carolina Mountain State Fair Ministry
The mission of the WNC Mountain State Fair Ministry is to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with the people working at and attending the annual Mountain State Fair. This will be accomplished by volunteers from Baptist churches in Western North Carolina who will witness by caring for the physical and spiritual needs of fair employees and fair guests.

Please bring all items to the Buncombe Baptist Resource Center by 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 06, 2026. Thank you for supporting the Fair Ministry!
HYGIENE KITS: Prepare 2 men’s kits for each woman’s kit made. Please use clear two-gallon plastic bags. Please mark “MALE” or “FEMALE”. DO NOT put mouthwash or after-shave in the hygiene kits. DO NOT use trial sizes.
- MEN’S KIT: toothpaste, toothbrush, soap, washcloth, shampoo, deodorant, comb, men’s shaving cream and razors, hand lotion, Gospel message tract
- WOMEN’S KIT: toothpaste, toothbrush, soap, washcloth, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, comb, hairbrush, women’s shaving cream and razors, hand lotion, Gospel message tract
“JESUS LOVES YOU” TEDDY BEARS: Call 828-252-1864 to obtain pattern. Make bears, carefully following pattern instructions. Do not use buttons, craft eyes or any small parts which may be removed and swallowed.
SALVATION BRACELETS: Color order of beads is black, red, white, blue, green, yellow. Use a clear bead to fasten bracelets. Please use black ¼ inch elastic to make the bracelet. Cut each piece into a ten-inch length. To reserve beads and elastic you may call 828-252-1864. We have a limited amount of bracelet supplies available. Or you may purchase supplies online or at a craft store.
ITEMS NEEDED FOR BREAK TENT:
- 8- and 12-ounce Styrofoam cups
- Pre-sweetened lemonade
- Plastic silverware (forks and spoons only)
BIBLES: NEW Bibles (including new Bibles that you might have left over from VBS)
OTHER NEEDS FOR FAIR WORKERS: Blankets & Towels (full size, new or gently used)
